What is the Défi Inter-Alliances?

The Défi Inter-Alliances is an international competition organized by the Alliance Française network, in collaboration with the Fondation des Alliances Françaises.

It brings together students from around the world to take part in a general knowledge quiz in French, hosted on the Kahoot platform. More than just a competition, it is an opportunity to celebrate the French language, connect with a global community, and challenge oneself in a fun and dynamic way.

The competition unfolds in several stages:

• National selection

• Regional selection

• Semi-final by geographical zone

• International final in Belgium

💻 The competition is conducted entirely in French and takes place via:

• Zoom (to follow the event)

• Kahoot (to answer the quiz questions)

📌 Participants will need two devices:

• One device (computer/tablet/phone) for Zoom

• One smartphone for Kahoot

How to Register

Participation is free of charge.

To be eligible, participants must:

• Be enrolled in French courses at the Alliance Française

• Be at least 18 years old

• Have a French level between A2 and C2

• Not be a native French speaker
